Description: This dynamic and expressive wine will return you to your childhood and moments of gleefully sought-after treats. Smelling this wine you can almost hear the fading chime of the Dickie Dee cart as it rounds the corner rolling out of sight while you delve into the frosty peach sherbet in your hand. Alternatively could it be the enticing aroma of a bag of peachy candies and banana marshmallows from your local candy store? Intense and luscious fruit is the theme of this Riesling bottled exclusively from Field A of the St. Urban Vineyard. Its specific terroir yields grapes that magnify the fruity characters of Riesling and deliver the aromatics that make our mouths water and our hearts reminisce.

Cheese Pairing:  Chef Fondue

Producer: FX Pichet
Location: Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pérade (Québec)
Milk: Pasteurized Cow’s Milk
I share with you one of the best fondue blends I have tasted. Chef Fondue is a blend of 3 cheeses, Baluchon, Reserve La Perade and Roy Leo. Le Baluchon won Cheese of the Year at the inaugural 2014 Canadian Cheese Awards. Reserve la Perade and Roy Leo are aged 5 and 7 months respectively and round the blend with maturity and rich structure. Notes of clover, walnut, and citrus are backed by a resolute sharpness thanks to the raw milk which extends the finish. Beautifully balanced, our Connections field A Riesling exudes lemon drops, citrus marmalade, and wildflower honey. A nice weight envelops the palate with nuances of lemon meringue pie, light acidity and green apple.

Food Pairing: Lemon Squares with Short Crust
